Rehoming Stone.......

demolition

Last year we were approached by a local estate to demolish some of their outbuildings. These stone barns and sheds had fallen into disrepair so the space was to be cleared and a boundary wall reinstated.

The buildings were carefully deconstructed and large volumes of building stone, quoins and walling stone were salvaged.
We are always keen to obtain large amounts of stone from a single source such as this and, where possible, aim to keep such materials together to be sold as a complete batch.
This ensures both consistency and provenance for our customers.

This particular batch of stone was destined for a local development of a Cotswold farmstead. Following the main house being rebuilt, unattractive 20th Century outbuildings and barns were being removed and replaced with buildings that were more appropriate in style and a number of large boundary walls were being introduced. Due to the style of the property and the site being located in the same area of the Cotswolds, the stone was well suited:
